Designed data-solution architectures across cloud and on-premise environments, helping turn research and client needs into production-ready data platforms.
Jofre Riba Sánchez
Cloud Engineer
I design and run cloud and data platforms — from the Google Cloud ecosystem to bare-metal Kubernetes. 8+ years turning complex infrastructure into reliable, well-supported systems.
About me
I'm a cloud engineer from Barcelona with over eight years in the Google Cloud ecosystem. I grew from front-line technical support into a subject-matter expert, a quality-assurance specialist and a team lead, before moving into big-data research — designing data-solution architectures across cloud and on-prem environments.
These days I'm deepening my full-stack and cloud-native skills: building privacy-first web platforms on the edge, running a self-hosted Kubernetes cluster, and retraining in modern web development. I like hard problems, clean systems, and helping the people around me do their best work.
Experience
Five years supporting Google Cloud Platform, progressing through four roles: technical solutions, subject-matter expert, quality assurance, and finally a one-to-many lead empowering a team to support the developer community.

Projects
A few things I've built recently — from edge platforms to a self-hosted Kubernetes cluster.
Jo No T'Espero
LiveA privacy-first, single-file campaign website delivered from the edge, with cryptographic (Verifiable Delay Function) anti-spam and a campaign-agnostic CMS rewrite. Built for resilience and operational security.
Self-Hosted Kubernetes Platform
Private repoA bare-metal Kubernetes platform (k3s / Talos) running a full cloud-native stack: Cilium networking, Istio service mesh, cert-manager, Longhorn storage, Keycloak SSO, Kyverno policies and an observability suite.
JobCall
A HackUPC team project that connects developers for peer-to-peer video calls, matched by their Stack Overflow expertise and GitHub profile — WebRTC video over a Go + Cloud Firestore backend, with web and Android clients.
